Psalms 51:8 give me back my joy again….

12 restore to me the joy

17 you will not reject a broken and repentant heart O God

When you look for God in the smallest of things, even within times of heartbreak, you will find joy. Even if it is just for a moment and fleeting. Please trust it is worth it to grasp onto it, even if it slips away.

Possible moments of where to find joy:

Take a moment and just notice the shape of the clouds.

Children laughing? Close your eyes and just listen.

Savor the cool breeze on your face and in your hair.

Favorite song to sing to pop up on your playlist as you're driving? Belt it out!

Did a cool thing your bestie did for you cross your mind? Send them a text and say “thanks!” all over again.

Loading the dishwasher? Consider it could be broken, but it’s not and fully functioning. And aren’t you so glad?

Petting or walking the dog? Isn’t it awesome God made dogs an example of His unconditional, agape love?

Isn’t it wonderful God made showers not only for cleansing purposes, but also for epiphanies?

This list of where to find the smallest of small moments of joy within your daily life could go on infinitely.

So today, may I recommend thinking of finding these joy moments as a treasure hunt. And when your day is done, consider jotting them down to remind you on a harder day, that it is possible.

So, what tiny moments brought you joy today?
