Jeremiah 2:21 I was the one who planted you, choosing a vine of the purest stock-the very best

Ah. A reminder that whatever wonderful thing you have accomplished or talent you possess or characteristic others benefit from is from God and not of your own doing. He is the one that provided the Holy Spirit to us so that we may be guided in our growth in being more Christlike. Giving the glory to ourselves can be so very easy, but it would not be truth for us believers. We are only where we are because God loves us and cares for us and truly wants the best for us while we are on this journey here on earth. 

Also, an excellent reminder that God chose each and every one of us for a purpose and he knows we are the best at something because he made us so. While we might be rejected by other humans, we are never rejected by God. We are always chosen. Even at our worst, God still chooses us. And how lovely is that thought?!
