devotional - day 13

Philippians 1:9 I pray that your love will overflow more and more and that you will keep on growing in knowledge and understanding

Ah! Isn’t it the best when you feel your heart overflowing with God’s love for you and you just want to pass it along?! When your intimacy with God just leads you to wanting to be with him all of the time and feel his love always and thus you learn to trust him more as you grow in your knowledge of how he works specifically in your life and you understand him greater? 

And like Paul, I so dearly want this for everyone. Everyone! Really knowing and believing God loves you to the point of overflowing your heart allows you to live within the freedom of self-worth, self-love, and abundance. The scarcity mentally vanishes. Due to God’s love constantly being in an overflow state within you, you’re then free to love others as fully as possible whether it is reciprocated or not because you are already confident in your everlasting flow of love. 

Besides, human love just isn’t as amazing a feeling as agape love. Agape love is the bestest. However, it is my goal in life to love others as close to agape love as possible. But humans kinda suck sometimes and I am definitely human. So I will fail at times to love as agape like as I could be. And that’s ok, because with God’s love comes his grace! Ah….it just keeps going.

May you feel God’s love today in a way you have never felt before - in way  you cannot deny that it is him. With a knowing you’ve never experienced  before. With a freedom that is exquisite.
